Greetings from L.A.! I'm here attending the IDEA World Fitness Convention, which is dubbed the largest health and fitness expo for fitness pros in the world! I'm here taking fun workouts and workshops to help me get all the details on the newest workout trends so that I can share them with you guys! This Friday and Saturday, I'll be taking classes like Turbo Fire from the Turbo Jam creator Chalene Johnson, a Pilates workshop from Bender Ball creator Leslee Bender (you all remember how much I love the Bender Ball, right?), a kettlebell training from guru Steve Cotter, and even a pole dancing fitness class (I just had to try it!). But even if you're not a fitness professional, you can get still join in for some of the fitness fun if you'll be near the L.A. Convention Center between August 12 and 14! Sign up online, or download your FREE Expo Hall pass (PDF) to attend the event! . What is it? IDEA World Fitness & Wellness Expo (part of the IDEA World Fitness Convention). When can I attend? Hall opens Friday, August 12, Noon; hall closes Sunday, August 14, 3 PM Where is the expo located? Los Angeles Convention Center, West Hall A & B What can I expect there? More than 400 booths with 180 exhibitors from around the world will be demonstrating and sampling their latest products and services. Expo visitors can check out products from companies including Chobani Fit, G Series FIT, Zumba, Reebok, K-SWISS, TRX, SPRI®, FreeMotion Fitness, RealRyder, Krank Cycle, BOSU, Abbott Laboratories/EAS, popchips, and STOTT PILATES—plus about 170 others. To fit the "Take the Challenge" theme of the IDEA World Convention, many exhibitors have developed fun and rewarding challenges for attendees that can earn them discounts, prizes—or both! There will also be live entertainment on the IDEA Performance Stage, sponsored by Zumba. When you need to take a break from shopping or from all of the great challenge opportunities, pull up a chair to watch (or join in) an energized featured performance by Zumba, R.I.P.P.E.D. or Les Mills. Sign up online, or download your FREE Expo Hall pass (PDF) to attend the event! I hope some of my fellow fitness enthusiasts will have a chance to join in the fun. I'll be sure to report back on all the fun new workouts and fitness trends I found at the IDEA Convention, too. What fitness trends would you like to learn more about? |
