YOU Can Be Part of a Fitness World Record!

By , SparkPeople Blogger
SparkPeople has partnered with National Geographic Kids magazine to attempt to break a Guinness World Record for the most people doing jumping jacks in a 24-hour period. These Let's Jump events are happening all over the country (and the globe) between 3 p.m. on Oct. 11 and 3 p.m. on Oct. 12.

SparkPeople will be hosting a Let's Jump SparkRally here in our hometown of Cincinnati, but even if you don't live near us, there is probably an event happening near you. Here's how to find your own event and be part of this fun record-breaking challenge.

To find a Let's Jump SparkRally in your area, go to SparkPeople's Let's Jump locator page and type in your zip code. If an event is happening near you, it'll show up in the search results. Currently, SparkPeople members have created Let's Jump events in 11 different states, including:
  • Alabama (Huntsville)
  • California (San Francisco)
  • Delaware (Wilmington)
  • Florida (Gainesville)
  • Hawaii (Honolulu)…I can justify this as a business trip, right?
  • Kansas (Wichita)
  • Louisiana (Shreveport)
  • Missouri (Kansas City and Springfield)
  • Ohio (Cincinnati)
  • Tennessee (Memphis)
  • Texas (Amarillo, Dallas, San Antonio and Lubbock)

If there isn’t a Let’s Jump SparkRally in your area, consider hosting your own Let's Jump event!  Find out how here. Be sure to add your event under "Upcoming Events" on your city’s SparkAmerica page. You can also search for more Let's Jump events via other Let's Jump partners here.

We hope you're able to join the fun with us October 11 and 12!
