Happy Labor Day! Before you head out to that family barbecue or neighborhood picnic, we wanted to share with you a guide to the best and worst cookout foods. Knowing ahead of time which foods to eat and which to avoid means that you can relax and enjoy yourself at the party. Make healthy choices (lean grilled meats, plenty of vegetables and no creamy sauces), and you'll even have room for a treat. (Mmm, berries and angel food cake. Or that yummy Jell-O salad with marshmallows... oh, wait, someone brought chocolate cupcakes!) If you're still seriously worried about not having anything healthy to eat, take a nutritious dish along. A host or hostess always welcomes more food! If you overdo it a little, work off the excess calories with a game of frisbee, a bike ride around the neighborhood, or even a visit to a playground. Now go enjoy your day off!
