I was craving to try it next time I have Taco Bell ---- UNTIL I saw the sodium! My doctor is monitoring the sodium, he said my sodium is too high and my body retains water. Thumbs down!

Another poster here said that the 7-layer doesn't come with guacamole--mine always has. Additionally, Taco Bell's website lists it as one of the ingredients that comes in it. Anyway, I love this item as a tasty, vegetarian alternative!

I just can't get into the fresco style 7-Layer. I've tried it, but when you take out the cheese, sour cream, and guacamole you take out almost all the flavor. I'm guessing the guac is supposed to be removed, because every Taco Bell I've ordered a fresco 7-Layer from takes it out.

I love the Fresco 7-Layer Burrito. It is a little high in salt, but great on protein for a meatless item and an overall good profile for fast food. If I'm traveling, I feel like I've hit healthy, vegetarian gold when I see a Taco Bell, especially here in southern Appalachia and traveling down the semi-rural east coast.

Also, I use to be a little wary about the refried beans because many restaurants add lard to them. Taco Bell does not have lard in their refried beans or rennet in their cheese. Yay! There is casein (sodium caseinate - milk protein) in the rice, so it is not vegan, but aside from that, it seems pretty safe.
