Applebees shirmp n spinach salad

If you get the shrimp and spinach half salad (with balsamic vinaigrette) and a half cup of soup, you can get a tasty lunch that is pretty healthy. It doesn't look like much, but is very filling! Also, the salad is very simple- spinach, slivered almonds, red bell peppers, and seasoned shrimp, so you are getting lots of vitamins and healthy fats.

according to the Applebee's web site a half of this salad, and it's one of my favorites, is 600 calories. It's the sodium count that is very high. When I want this salad, I do the soup and salad lunch special, it's only about a quarter of the salad and a bowl of chili, more then enough for me.

I absolutely LOVE this salad! It contains grilled shrimp, and its char-flavor compliments the mouth-watering dressing.

I have eaten a half-portion with soup and been content. The whole-portion salad is huge, but two hours later I've been hungry.

I had this salad paired with the Tomato Basil Soup for lunch today. I guess the lunch portion must already be a half size because I sure couldn't picture halving what I got! I skipped the bread, removed the croutons and at everything else....I thought it was delicious. The tomatoe soup and spinach boosts your daily veggie count and shrimp are pretty low calorie. The "dressing" had a sweet oily taste/look but there wasn't much of it. I'm going to assume the lunch portion was half of what I see listed here.

Just DO NOT get the whole salad. It's the worst salad out there in the eating out realm. Seriously, half portion at best!!

This was tasty. I got the half for dinner, then decided I should have gotten the whole salad. I'll definitely order again.
