Guess which star reached her fitness goal over the weekend? The photo is your hint. That's right. It was Jennifer Lopez, who completed her first triathlon, the Nautica Malibu Triathlon, on Sept. 14. The new mom reportedly was smiling as she crossed the finish line (in two hours, 23 minutes and 28 seconds) after completing a half-mile ocean swim, an 18-mile bike ride and a 4-mile run. Though Lopez, who used triathlon training as a way to get in shape after giving birth to twins in February, other celebs participated, too, (including Lopez's "Wedding Planner" co-star and fellow new parent Matthew McConaughey): "In addition to the race, the weekend was highlighted by the numerous celebrities who participated for charity. Emceed by Cindy Crawford, the closing awards ceremony provided a glimpse of Hollywood at its most giving. Jennifer Lopez not only competed in the race – finishing with a time of 2 hours, 23 minutes, 38 seconds – but raised more than $125,000 for Childrens Hospital Los Angeles. Also joining her in the Celebrity Division were Matthew McConaughey, Felicity Huffman (“Desperate Housewives”), William H. Macy (“Wild Hogs”), Jon Hamm (“Mad Men”), Mark-Paul Gosselaar (“Raising the Bar,” “NYPD Blue”), Jon Cryer (“Two and a Half Men”), Monique Coleman (“High School Musical”), Andy Baldwin (“The Bachelor”), Scott Foley (“The Unit”), Anna Kournikova and more." Have you ever participated in a triathlon? Would you? |
